I remember us in a tour bus, and we stopped in some field, and they pointed out some lone stone in the brush and said, this is something very important. I could swear that was it.

But who knows...probably Kate, since she was the only person on that bus I still keep in touch with...and probably paying better attention than I was.joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09329104162799729674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344344685212565058.post-57322198020070147162010-06-27T10:00:06.898-04:002010-06-27T10:00:06.898-04:00Oooh, haven't been to Runnymede -- or Greenwic...Oooh, haven't been to Runnymede -- or Greenwich (another place I couldn't fit into my trips)! There's a Jane Austen walking tour of Bath that I missed too...jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10427526616050893987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344344685212565058.post-9632066829133334472010-06-26T20:05:27.555-04:002010-06-26T20:05:27.555-04:00I first saw this post on joy's FB page, and I ...I first saw this post on joy's FB page, and I saw that DCsis guestblogged, and I read the bit about how "I could never get into the Jane Austen oeuvre" (which, you know, made my heart die a little bit) but I was like, "WHAT?! DCSIS?!" all spluttery. And I actually said out loud, "But you coined the N&S term of "P&P: with cotton!"

Then I read the whole post and was very, "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." and it all made sense.

I've been to London, but I don't know that we went to Winchester Cathedral, and the only places outside the city we went were Runnymede and Stonehenge (and the Prime Meridian? that's outside the city too?). But I have always wanted to go back--especially since I had just finished sixth grade then, and was not even a Jane Austen fan yet. I need to do a literary England tour. And now I'll know who to ask if I need help planning! :)Your Nose Is Quite Bighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05109489297088940322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344344685212565058.post-60012047795722933782010-06-26T20:05:27.556-04:002010-06-26T20:05:27.556-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Your Nose Is Quite Bighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05109489297088940322noreply@blogger.com
